Earlier in October, we announced the acquisition of the balance of Waterlea Estate, a 177ha, 1800-lot project – of which 1,400 lots are yet to be developed – that also includes a proposed future Catholic school site, 30ha of green space, a childcare centre, and Waterlea Village, which is a restaurant and dining precinct within the community.
The acquisition underpins the national strategy of the ID_CORP group of companies, which is seeking to replicate the structure of ID_Land in Queensland, starting with Waterlea; the project’s 10-year timeframe providing a long-term anchor for interstate growth.
Joint managing directors Matthew Belford and Jeffrey Garvey are confident about the Queensland market, believing the state is showing the same signs of growth that Victoria did years before.
“With the first crucial acquisition now complete, we can replicate ID_Land’s Victorian structure in Queensland and commence the next 10-15 years of growth, anchored by Waterlea.”
– ID_Land joint managing director Matthew Belford said.
